Read my review of Child's Play by clicking this badass picture of Chucky below

rhetoricrambles:

I’m watching Child’s Play for the first time. I gotta say, this movie is leagues better than Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky (the latter of which I had the misfortune of spending 6 dollars to watch with my dad in theaters.) I don’t remember much about Child’s Play 2 and 3, except that they were my first impressions of Chucky growing up. I think I may have seen edited cable versions at a friends house, but they were entertaining enough for my to be excited about those two shitty-ass sequels.

Child’s Play has a 6.3 on IMDB. For a b-grade horror movie with a hollywood budget, Chucky had every opportunity to fall flat. Bride of Chucky is unremarkable by all means and probably averages the same views-per-year as a movie like Jason X(4.3)…both movies bring shame to their cinematic ancestors. Bride of Chucky has  a 5.3, yet it’s totaly piss-poor comedy garbage 90s self aware horror in the vein of the faculty and Scream (both are movies which deliver this style of horror in a much better manner). ….<FULL POST HERE>

I’m watching the original Carwash

It’s a pretty good movie. The soundtrack is rockin and the ensamble cast keeps it varied and lively throughout the whole flick. It’s old, so it’s a shorter 90 minute story arc. George Carlin and Richard Pryor both carry the film while lesser known actors carry screen time very well. This movie is a cool period piece, it’s a bit corny, but worth the time if you want to be privy to this cult classic. It’s definitely funnier than the remake with Dr Dre and SNOOP.

Hello Ground! narrated by Stephen  Fry

“It is important to note that suddenly, and against all probability, a sperm whale had been called into existence, several miles above the surface of an alien planet. But since this is not a naturally tenable position for a whale, this innocent creature had very little time to come to terms with its identity. This is what it thought as it fell:

‘Ahhh! Whoa! What’s happening? Who am I? Why am I here? What’s my purpose in life? What do I mean by ‘who am I’? Okay, okay, calm down, calm down, get a grip now. Ooh, this is an interesting sensation. What is it? It’s a sort of a tingling in my… well, I suppose I better start finding names for things. Let’s call it a… tail! Yeah! Tail! And hey, what’s this roaring sound, whooshing past what I’m suddenly gonna call my head? Wind! Is that a good name? It’ll do. Yeah, this is really exciting! I’m dizzy with anticipation! Or is it the wind? There’s an awful lot of that now, isn’t it? And what’s this thing coming toward me very fast? So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ‘Ow’, ‘Ownge’, ‘Round’, ‘Ground’! That’s it! Ground! Ha! I wonder if it’ll be friends with me? Hello Ground!’ …

Curiously, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell, was: ‘Oh no, not again.’ Many have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that, we should know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.”

This Godless Endeavor (by magotcore)

nevermore. an album from one of my favorite bands in high school. I saw them at gigantour. I was also a rancidly atheist teenager. go figure, throw your metal horns up.

I also grew crazy long hair because nevermore headbanged in unison, officially blowing my mind.

gospelradiationblues asked: Haha. Im glad someone likes my humor. Oddly enough I am allowed to freely roam D.C., If you got the Bad Brains refrence... Which I assume you did since you found it funny? Okay maybe I'm rambling. I don't know how you were following me but I wasn't following you. Your blog seems very interesting. I am about to look through it some more.

Thanks! You’re not rambling;; I’m into derelicts and NC rejects and the likes as I hang with them often.
